Premiership title prediction between Celtic & Rangers forecasted

Premiership title prediction between Celtic & Rangers forecasted by Sporting Index

CELTIC will retain their Premiership title in the season ahead, according to experts at Sporting Index.

Ange Postecoglou's Hoops will trump bitter Glasgow rivals Rangers by point points come next May.

The current Scottish champions are predicted to earn 90-points next term, with Rangers amassing 85.

Looking further down the table, Hearts and forecasted to beat Edinburgh rivals Hibs to third spot, with each side finishing on 56 and 55 points respectively.

Aberdeen and Livingston will make up the rest of the top six according to this forecast.

And at the bottom of the table, Ross County's time in the top flight will come to an end, with Kilmarnock sitting in the relegation play-off spot, just one point above the Staggies.

Neville Burdock, Head of Trading at Sporting Index, said: “We expect another tight title battle in the Scottish Premiership next season, but our predictions are likely to be music to the ears of the Parkhead faithful, as we see Celtic prevailing in the title race by five points.

“The battle for third place looks set to be between Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen and we expect them to finish in that order, while at the bottom Ross County are predicted to face relegation on 38 points.”

Predicted finishes for 2022/23 Premiership:

1 Celtic

2 Rangers

3 Hearts

4 Hibs

5 Aberdeen

6 Livingston

7 Motherwell

8 Dundee United

9 St Mirren

10 St Johnstone

11 Kilmarnock
