Derek McInnes insists Kilmarnock got what they deserved after a dramatic come-from-behind win over Motherwell on Saturday.
Two goals in the space of five minutes from Dan Armstrong and Ash Taylor earned Killie a 2-1 victory after Kevin van Veen had given the Steelmen a first-half lead.
The Rugby Park men climbed off the bottom of the table and up into ninth place after their first Premiership win of the season.
And gaffer McInnes was delighted to see the result match the performance after a tricky opening month following the club's top-flight return.
He told Killie TV: "It's always nice to get that victory when you're coming from behind but, ideally, we'd like to take charge of the game and get in front.
"I thought by and large it was a strong performance. We spoke at half-time about the need to stay calm, keep the intensity in the game, keep asking questions but, more importantly, keep having the belief.
"It would have been easy to feel sorry for ourselves but we asked the players how they wanted to feel at quarter to five and it was exactly as I hoped. I thought it was a deserved victory for us.
"We're here to get the job done and play well and I thought we played well; I thought we moved the ball well. We just needed to try and make more of opportunities.
"The drive from everyone in the team and the drive from the supporters in the stands to get it done was really pleasing.
"I've seen a lot of premier league football this season and I know from watching that first half then that second half that we're a good side. We just need to tighten up a wee bit, keep more clean sheets and take more of our opportunities."
McInnes praised Taylor's threat at set-pieces and saluted the display of Armstrong who is making a big impact in the first team.
"I'm delighted for wee Danny," added McInnes. "To score that goal in the area of the pitch he was in was great for him. He's infectious and did brilliant for us."
