Premier League trumps other top European leagues with 40k+ average attendance in 2024/25

Among the top five European leagues, the Premier League is attracting the most fans to stadiums in 2024/25. According to the numbers put together by Sportscasting.com, an average of 40,486 fans are going to stadiums in the ongoing Premier League season. This figure puts the English league ahead of the other top European leagues.

The Premier League is not only the most popular football league globally, but it’s also bringing the most fans to its stadiums in 2024-25.

Premier League sides have seen an average audience of 40,486 so far in the ongoing season. Amongst the clubs, Manchester United have been responsible for the largest contribution, with an average audience size of 73,713. Bournemouth is on the opposite spectrum, with an average crowd size of 10,087 in their home games.

Bundesliga is on the second spot with an average attendance of 38674 every game. In Germany, Borussia Dortmund have attracted the biggest crowds with an average of 81,365 fans attending every game at Signal Iduna Park. Holstein Kiel is responsible for the smallest crowd size in the Bundesliga, with an average attendance of 14,874 at their home games.

Serie A is far behind in the third spot with an average of 30,384 fans going to every game. Inter is at the top amongst Serie A clubs, with an average of 72,304 fans every home game. Newly promoted Como is at the bottom, with an average audience size of 10,148.

La Liga is just behind Serie A, with 29818 fans attending every game in the top tier of Spanish football. La Liga giants Real Madrid are attracting the biggest crowds, with an average of 66,898 fans attending games at Santiago Bernabeu. Getafe is at the other end, with an average attendance of 10,483. 

Ligue 1 is attracting the least amount of fans to stadiums among the top five big leagues. Only 27941 fans are attending every game in the French league. Among the French clubs, Marseille FC has the biggest crowds in its home games at 63,310 spectators. On the other hand, Monaco is attracting just 9435 fans to its home games.
