Liverpool overtook Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table on a dramatic weekend.
Firstly, Arsenal had to get off to a good start in the early kick-off at Newcastle, only to fall to a potentially hugely costly 1-0 defeat thanks to Alexander Isak’s first-half header.
City had the chance to extend their lead over the Gunners but fell to a surprise 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth, while the Reds came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield. West Ham, meanwhile, were thrashed 3-0 away at Nottingham Forest.
Crystal Palace and Wolves then played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Molineux.
Tottenham turned the game around to beat high-flying Aston Villa 4-1 in Sunday’s first game before Manchester United host Chelsea in a heavyweight fixture, the first League game since the sacking of Erik ten Hag.
On Monday night, Fulham scored two goals in stoppage-time as they came from behind to stun Brentford.
