Champions Manchester City remain atop the Premier League table after matchday six of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s side sailed to a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland.
On a relatively quiet Saturday, Crystal Palace and Fulham drew 0-0 before Everton claimed their first win of the season over Brentford, emerging 3-1 victors in west London. Luton got off the mark with a point at home to Wolves before Manchester United got a much-needed victory against Burnley thanks to a sublime Bruno Fernandes volley.
Sunday then saw a raft of entertaining games. Arsenal and Tottenham drew in the first north London derby of the campaign on an incident-filled day at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool, meanwhile, continued their impressive start by beating West Ham 3-1 all while Chelsea’s difficulties continued with a 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa. Newcastle hit newly-promoted Sheffield United for eight and Brighton continued their stellar form against Bournemouth, winning 3-1.
