Premier League send classy eight-word message to Nottingham Forest after Wembley win

Nottingham Forest will play in the Premier League for the first time in over 20 years next season as they defeated Huddersfield Town 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.

In front of a fully-packed Reds end, Steve Cooper's side were comfortably the better side at the national stadium and restricted Huddersfield to zero attempts on goal. The winner came in the form of an own goal from Levi Colwill in the 43rd minute.

The victory completes the tremendous job Cooper has done at the City Ground since taking over in September. Forest were bottom of the Championship when he arrived and he will now take on the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp next season in the top flight.

Forest were the better team on the afternoon and now face the task of keeping hold of their highly-talented stars in Brennan Johnson and Djed Spence.

In the aftermath of the result in London, the Premier League official Twitter account delivered their own classy message. They tweeted: "Great to have you back in the #PL."

The Reds will join AFC Bournemouth and Fulham in the Premier League next season, which starts the weekend of August 6, and will look to set themselves as an established top flight side.

Forest fans only have to wait until Thursday 16 June to find out their full Premier League fixture list.
