Newcastle United are eyeing a move for Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer, according to reports. The 26-year-old has impressed in North London since making his move from Southampton for £15million back in 2020.
The Dane has started almost every game in the Premier League this season, scoring two and assisting two. It outlines just how important the box-to-box midfielder is that he has played so much across three different managers.
Antonio Conte has been full of praise for Hojbjerg, claiming that he deserves more praise than he comes in for: "Pierre, no one asked me about him, but I think in every game he is doing a fantastic job, with the ball, without the ball, strong physically. Every player is improving their level, and for this reason, Tottenham is going up and up."

His impressive displays have caught the eye of some, with reported transfer interest this summer. Former manager Jose Mourinho is said to be eyeing a reunion with him at AS Roma.
However, another side may have entered the mix. According to The Mirror, Premier League rivals Newcastle are eyeing a move for Hojbjerg, readying a £30million offer.
The Magpies have impressed under Eddie Howe, moving from the foot of the table up to the top half of the league. That was, in no small part, thanks to their January transfer business following their takeover.
The Tottenham midfielder appears to be part of their plans for the summer as they look to establish themselves at the higher end of the table. However, Spurs may have their own plans for Hojbjerg, and it remains to be seen what they will do with their own transfer plans.
