It's July 1, which means there are plenty of players now officially a free agent. All those with contracts that were not getting renewed woke up this morning without a club.
And some of those names could well be of interest to Leeds United and their new manager. The next Elland Road boss, heavily tipped to be Daniel Farke could find himself at the centre of a squad rebuild as he looks to plot a return to the Premier League.
A number of players are expected to leave and have already been heavily linked with interest from other clubs. That could leave a few holes for the new boss to fill ahead of the season getting under way on August 6.
He may need to turn to the free market to help with those numbers and there are plenty of players available having had their release from the Premier League made official.
