Pregnant Sophie Evans and Ellis Jenkins 'win Halloween' with 'brilliant' costumes

Welsh actress Sophie Evans has shared brilliant snaps after painting her baby bump for Halloween. The West End star dressed up with husband and professional rugby player Ellis Jenkins to mark the spooky season.

The couple, who tied the knot in Cardiff in June and are preparing to welcome a baby boy in December 2022, were told they had "won Halloween" after sharing their costumes on social media.

Sophie and Ellis opted for a Monsters, Inc.-themed Halloween as they dressed up the two lovable monsters from the 2001 Disney Pixar film. Sharing snaps to Instagram Sophie revealed main character Mike Wazowski has been painted onto her baby bump, while Ellis wore a Sulley onesie complete with a rouge sock on his shoulder.

In the 2001 film, a white sock was referred to as a "23-19". The code meant the monsters had been in contact with an item from the human world.

Sharing the costumes with her 57,000 Instagram followers, Sophie wrote: "I'm not just a regular mom, I'm a cool mom. Swipe for a 23-19!!"

She added: "Baby's first Halloween dress up!" Sophie was quickly flooded with comments with hundreds of people praising the outfits.

"This is AMAZING," wrote one social media user, while another added: "This is incredible"

And a third commented: "THIS IS CRAZY COOL. I adore this and you."

While many hailed Sophie and Ellis' costumes as "brilliant," another went as fat to say they'd "won" Halloween. The comment read: "Not a question.. this def wins Halloween."

While another said: "Haha this is amazing!!!! Happy first Halloween bump." The snaps come after Sophie recently opened up to Wales Online about her next chapter.

The mum-to-be spoke about preparing for her new arrival, tying the knot over the summer, her plans for a big wedding celebration in 2024, and what's next for her. You can read the interview in full here.
