Molly-Mae Hague has shared how she was recently left bedbound six months into her pregnancy. The former Love Island star, who announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Tommy Fury last month, spoke in her latest YouTube video about suffering from a nasty bout of the flu.
"The night before last I woke up in the middle of the night and out of nowhere I couldn't swallow," she said in her vlog as she rested in bed. You know when it feels like Edward Scissorhands has slithered his fingers down your throat."
She then added: "I'm so behind on so much work and I'm freaking out because I can't get out of the bed. Like I've not got out of the bed all day. I ordered some breakfast on Deliveroo and I couldn't even get out of bed to collect it. It has just literally hit me like a ton of bricks. It has just gotten worse every hour."
But a couple of days later Molly-Mae picked back up filming her vlog and said she was "back in the land of living" admitting it was "a rough couple of days." The 23-year-old said: "I had to take a moment to recover from whatever struck me. It was so awful, coldy and coughy flu. It actually lasted for a week."
In the same video, influencer Molly-Mae shared her shock at discovering huge stretch marks underneath her boobs. "So the last five months I have been absolutely vigilant. Every single day I do a full 20 minute moisturising routine," the mum-to-be explained.
"It just takes me so long. But I've recently discovered underneath my boobs, stretch marks, oh my God they are really bad. I hadn't noticed them. They are full long purple and red stretch marks. They are really big and I wish I had noticed them sooner so that I could have started putting Bio Oil on them."
Molly-Mae's bout with the flu appears to have come before hitting the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week. The PLT Creative Director, who is expecting a baby girl with Tommy, who she met on the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show, gently cradled her bump as she stunned in a showstopping white dress with dramatic sleeves.
Sharing a photo of herself on Instagram ahead of the awards she wrote with a love heart: "Pride of Britain". Fans were quick to gush over her look for the evening and Molly-Mae has since shared how the hotel she stayed out while in London had been decorated with an extra special touch.
Sharing a photo on Instagram, her millions of followers could see how the plush room had been filled with pink and white balloons with a fluffy bunny and blanket left as a special gift ready for her unborn daughter.
"Yesterday was special," Molly-Mae typed alongside a white heart. She also shared a selfie she took in the lift mirror ready for her first red carpet appearance since revealing her pregnancy. "Ready to go," she said alongside an angel baby, giving a glimpse at her blossoming bump as she accessorised her super glam look with simply sparkling earrings and a matching necklace.
Following her trip to London for the awards, which she described as 'special' and sees everyday heros honoured, Molly-Mae was excited to return home and receive a special delivery and an important milestone in their journey to parenthood.
"EEEEK baby girl's cott just arrived all the way from across the world!" she exclaimed as she posted a snap of the packaging containing their precious cargo. On Sunday she shared another step towards becoming a mum and dad as she posted a snap of Tommy's new set of wheels. "He got himself a dad car," she enthused on her Instagram Stories with love heart-eyes emojis.
