Pregnant Lucy Mecklenburgh has kept her social media followers up to date about baby number two's arrival after having her second sweep.
The former TOWIE star is set to welcome her second child with partner Ryan Thomas but has gone a week over her due date.
The family are understandably eagerly awaiting the sibling for two-year-old Roman's arrival and Lucy, 30, shared that she had been for her second sweep on Wednesday to try to naturally induce labour.
Having a sweep essentially involves a midwife sweeping their finger around a woman's cervix during an internal exam in an attempt to separate the membrane of the amniotic sac that surrounds the baby from the cervix and potentially start labour.
Lucy admitted however that the second attempt was much more uncomfortable than the first, adding to her Story that it wasn't "pleasant".
To make up for it she treated herself to a fancy pastry and drink.
The reality TV star had already had her first sweep two days earlier which seemingly wasn't as unpleasant.
Again taking to social media, she wrote at the time: "Actually the sweep wasn't painful at all! It was completely fine!
"I thought it was worse from memory. Let's hope its [sic] given baby girl a little nudge x"
Lucy and Ryan have been keeping themselves busy with toddler Roman in the build-up to their new arrival.
At the weekend, Lucy and her son had a "cooking day" with Lucy sharing a sweet video of the pair to her Instagram.
Alongside the clip, she wrote: "Mum & son cooking day!! Its [sic] actually my due date today eekkk and I’m getting some snacks at the ready for those long nights ahead these r [sic] super simple and can be kept in the freezer.
"*tip - when cooking with a toddler I like to get most of the ingredients measured out and ready to go then it’s not as chaotic or messy haha but still lots of fun!!"
Lucy and Ryan were set to get married but they revealed in November they had postponed their plans due to her pregnancy.
A source told New magazine at the time: "Lucy isn't too concerned about wedding plans but would like to get her figure back after her second child is born."
The pair have been together since meeting on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls in 2017.
