Lucy Fallon looked glowing as she showed off her blossoming baby bump in a new snap. The former Coronation Street actress announced in September that she's expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson.
And after keeping her pregnancy a secret for five months before the big reveal, Lucy has been keeping her followers updated on her and her unborn child's progress. The joyous baby news came after Lucy, who played Bethany in the ITV soap from 2015 to 2020, suffered a tragic miscarriage earlier this year.
Lucy and Ryan had gone for a private scan when Lucy was seven weeks for some early reassurance after the news came as a “massive shock and surprise”, but after being referred to hospital they were dealt the devastating blow that Lucy had miscarried. "It was a traumatising, horrendous time,” she told OK!. "We went for a scan and they couldn’t see anything, so then we went to the hospital and they thought they could see something, so it was very up and down."
She explained how she was experiencing classic pregnancy symptoms which were "getting worse". "There were no signs I had had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock," Lucy, who then underwent surgery, said.
But Lucy, from Blackpool, recently marked her six-month pregnancy milestone with her and Preston North End footballer Ryan's bundle of joy due on February 2, 2023. "We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us," Lucy, who took a pregnancy test while on a trip to the Maldives, said to the publication when revealing her pregnancy for the firs time. "We weren’t putting pressure on it and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen."
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Lucy shared a stunning image as she modelled a black underwear set. The mother-to-be looked radiant as she donned the black bra and brief set while resting a loving hand on her growing stomach.
Her icy blonde hair had been tied back into a chic low bun with just a few stray strands framing her face while she also donned a layering of gold necklaces and some other pieces of jewelry on her hands. Lucy captioned the image: "[cloud emoji] 9," beofre declaring the post as an ad for fashion, lingerie and swimwear brand, Pour Moi
Former Corrie co-star Helen Flanagan was quick to comment on the snap, writing in the comments: "You look beautiful Lucy." and fans were quick to agree. @gemruss2020 said: "You looking glowing. Being a parent is a gift and your going to be amazing mummy." @allforcorrie echoed: "You’ve got that glow of happiness. you’re gonna be the best mum." @meaney1405 added: "Absolutely beautiful."
Earlier this week Lucy looked angelic as she walked the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards in a flowing white gown. The Blackpool actress, who played Bethany Platt in Corrie, smiled serenely in her Grecian-style dress after having a fake tan nightmare ahead of the awards held in London to celebrate the bravery and selflessness of people who make the world a better place.
Her stylist Ryan Kay shared on Instagram the messages exchanged between himself and the actress of leaked tan in her case. "Glad I didn't have my dress in here," said Lucy. She told Ryan: "My fake tan has leaked hahahaahaaha." Ryan wrote: "When @lucyfallon sends me this. Thank god I'm travelling with your outfit for #prideofbritain and it's not in that case."
