Former Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon and Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter have led soap stars down the Pride of Britain red carpet this evening as the telly favourites showed off their matching baby bumps.
Lucy announced last month that she was pregnant with her first child with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson. The couple initially kept the pregnancy secret after having a tragic miscarriage in March at seven weeks.
The actress, who played Bethany Platt between 2015 and 2020, is currently six months pregnant and could not hide her pride as she strutted her stuff in front of the cameras at the star-studded event.
Lucy, whose due date is February 2, looked radiant as she cradled her blossoming bump in a gorgeous white floaty dress, as Jorgie looked equally stunning as she chatted with the Mirror about her recent baby shower.
Her bronzed decolletage was highlighted by the deep V-neck detail and she showed off her toned legs with a dramatic split up the front of the gown.
Lucy, who is currently six months pregnant, wore her blonde tresses in a perfect blow-dry which she’d tucked behind her ears to show off her super glam makeup look and simple pearl earrings.
Jorgie Porter followed her soap star pal down the red carpet in a beautiful silver and white sequin gown and revealed all about her recent baby shower.
Speaking exclusively the Mirror on the red carpet, the soap star revealed how she had brought eyelash glue with her to the event, anticipating she will shed a few tears during the emotional awards.
Chatting about her 'surprise' baby shower over the weekend, Jorgie explained: "It kind of wasn't a surprise I kind of sussed it out a bit. When your friends start talking to you more or don't talk to you then you know something's up.
"It was absolutely gorgeous, I'm overwhelmed to be honest. And all the things of the prams and stuff I was like [gasps] it's happening."
She added: "It was amazing, they all surprised me so it was brilliant."
The 34-year-old Hollyoaks star, known for her role as Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, is due to give birth in December.
Revealing what part of motherhood she is looking forward to the most, the star confessed: ""I think I'm just excited to have another generation of... I was saying to Ollie – we both say – we just love each other so much, we just want more love and more family.
"So, I think that's what it is really – just more love!"
Jorgie wore her hair scraped back into a low ponytail and showed off her blooming bump with the clinging sleeveless dress as she stunned on the Pride of Britain awards red carpet earlier this evening.
Jorgie recently told Hello! magazine that having a “healthy baby was a dream come true” as she spoke of her heartbreak after a number of miscarriages.
The soap star told the magazine: “We’re thrilled to reveal that we’re expecting a baby boy. Ollie and I didn’t mind either way, of course. All we wanted was a baby,” she added.
“He’s certainly very active, and I can feel him doing somersaults and backflips. It’s incredible to think what we’ve created.”
The Pride of Britain awards returns for yet another year to celebrate the nation's everyday heroes and their bravery.
The annual awards, which have taken place since 1999 in association with The Prince’s Trust, is considered one of the most heart-warming and emotional nights of the year.
Every year, several well-known faces from celebrities, politicians and sports icons come together to celebrate the bravery and selflessness of the winners.
Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo have returned to co-host the star-studded event at London’s Grosvenor House.
Carol, who has hosted the event for 23 years since 1999, said: "We’ll have 12 incredible winners again this year, but it's difficult for the judging panel because we have thousands of nominations and everyone on the shortlist could easily win.
"We try to reflect what’s happened in Britain in the last year, so you’ll recognise people who have been in the news, but we aim to balance that with stories nobody has heard before. It’s a magical combination.
More than 150 of the UK's biggest stars will come together to celebrate, including: Idris Elba, Michael Sheen, Anna Friel, Frank and Christine Lampard, Derek Chisora, Dame Mary Berry, Holly Willoughby, Big Narstie, Molly May Hague and Tommy Fury, Olly Murs, Kate Garraway and Emily Atack.
This year's winners include a teenager who saved the lives of a young boy and her father before coming close to being swept to her death in a river and brave police officers wounded in a frenzied knife attack.
A sailor who led a four-hour mission to save 27 men from a burning ship in towering seas and a schoolboy who tackles endurance challenges on his walking frame to raise money for charity are also among the winners.
