Pregnant Laura Anderson admits to 'panicking' as she prepares to give birth

Laura Anderson has admitted she’s 'excited' but also 'panicking' as she prepares to welcome her baby girl with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy.

The Love Island star is sharing her relatable anxieties about delivering her first child, who is due to be born in just a few weeks’ time.

Laura, 34, announced the happy news that she was pregnant in February, around the same time as her split from the Hollyoaks actor.

"I still feel like my baby is going to come early - I don't think I have two months' worth of growth left in me," she wrote in her recent column for OK! magazine.

Laura also revealed that she miscalculated far along she was in her pregnancy, admitting she had thought she was "33 weeks" along but is "actually only 32."

As for her birth plan, the Scottish TV personality is admittedly apprehensive about the unknown, despite having her hospital bag "packed and ready."

“I keep panicking, like 'what if I go into labour when I'm not at home and I don't have the bag?'," she revealed.

Laura went on to share that she will take her own food to hospital for the experience, having been told snacks are "a big must-do for labour". She also said she intends to include straws in her bag after discovering that she won’t be able to hold her own drink during labour.

Elsewhere in the column, Laura revealed she’s been researching 'labour positions' ahead of the delivery and even has a 'whole picture album' of different examples on her phone.

"There's lots of positions where you're not on your back – you have to think about gravity!," the content creator added.

As for how she feels about holding her daughter for the first time, Laura couldn't be more delighted. The Stirling native gushed about her 4D scan, which showed the baby-to-be 'sucking the umbilical chord' and 'yawning'.

"It made me so excited to meet her, because already she's got a personality and she feels so real, and I feel connected to her," Laura revealed.

Laura and Gary Lucy, 41, ended their five-month-long relationship earlier this year, after first meeting on Celebs Go Dating in 2022. The Hollyoaks star, who already has four children with his ex-wife Natasha Gray, was reportedly left 'devastated' by the split.

In May, Laura revealed that her mother would be present for the birth but could not confirm Gary's attendance.

"He's currently in two minds so I've asked my mum as well, as you are allowed two birthing partners," she told OK!.

"There are a lot of emotions going around for everyone, so it's difficult. Being able to be civil from now until the birth and then after is the goal."
