Pregnant Kate Ferdinand 'emotional' as husband Rio 'says no to having more children'

Kate Ferdinand has reportedly been left disappointed by her husband Rio's preference to having no more children.

The former TOWIE star, is expecting her second child with the footballer, and has already chosen their unborn baby's unisex name.

The expectant mum, who is already seven months pregnant with a daughter, is already a proud mum to the couple's son, Cree, 2.

She is also a proud step-mum to Rio's kids from his previous relationship with late wife Rebecca Ellison - Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and 12-year-old Tia.

Rio is about to become a father of five, but according to reports, he hopes that is where it will end as he has 'no desires' of welcoming anymore children.

Although the entire family is over the moon about the arrival of a little baby girl this summer, Rio has already reportedly told Kate that this child will be his last and that he does not want to expand his clan any further.

"Rio loves being a dad and he can't wait to have another daughter, but he feels like this should be his last one," a source told Heat Magazine.

"He's now 43 and this baby will be his fifth. He thinks that is enough, especially as it's another girl, so they are evened out a bit.

"Rio also wants them to be able to have time away by themselves once the younger two get a bit older."

The insider went on to add that Kate isn't thinking of having anymore children at the minute, but given the fact she is just 32-years-old, she doesn't want to rule anything out just yet as is feeling 'emotional' about the situation.

As the couple prepare to welcome another baby, Kate shared her and Rio already have an idea of what they are going to call their new arrival - and it's a name that their older children picked out before when Kate was pregnant with Cree.

Explaining the kids are at the heart of every decision that involves the new babies, Kate told The Sun: "We had another name for Cree - a unisex one - and we think that might be the baby's name.

"We haven't told anyone, because we don't want people's opinions. But you have to see when they come. What's she going to look like? Is she going to suit it?"

And with so many boys in the house already, Kate said the whole family are thrilled there will soon be another girl in the house.

“Me and Tia are very outnumbered. I’m really lucky because all the kids are very helpful with Cree, but we need a bit of female energy,” she joked.

The Mirror has reached out to Kate and Rio's representatives for comment.
