Pregnant Janette Manrara feeling 'relaxed' as she shares details of birthing plan

Pregnant Janette Manrara says she is feeling 'relaxed' as she opened up about the details of her birthing plan.

The dancer and her husband Aljaž Škorjanec, who married in 2017, announced the happy news of Janette's pregnancy in February this year.

They have been trying to conceive for more than two years as they shared their fertility struggle.

As she approaches her due date, 39-year-old Janette discussed what the doctors advised for her birth plan.

Due to the size of her baby and the size of her hips, she was advised to have an elective C-section for a safe delivery.

"It looks like we have a bigger than average size baby, but I’m not an average size human and because of the width of my hips it’s advised that I get a C-section," she said.

"But I feel really relaxed about it all. You really can’t plan everything because there are so many variables and I’m kind of open to all the different options and scenarios."

Janette added to Hello! Magazine: "So, I’m not trying to lock in a certain date or procedure, because you just never really know how it’s going to happen until the baby comes. And I think having that kind of openness in my thoughts has actually kept me quite calm."

Janette and Aljaž have prepared battery-powered candles and a music playlist in order to create the perfect atmosphere for the birth of their tot.

She previously said she feared her dream of becoming a mother was looking unlikely as she approached her 40th birthday.

After consulting doctors, the TV star arranged to start IVF treatment only to make the shocking discovery she was already pregnant.

Sharing the news of her pregnancy earlier this year, Janette said: "For the past couple of years we hadn’t been using protection but nothing was happening, so we thought IVF was the next best thing for us to do.

"I turn 40 later this year and the NHS offers really good services to women under 40. The doctor said that as soon as I got my period we would start injections, but my period never came," she told Hello! magazine.
