Pregnant ITV Coronation Street star Julia Goulding glowing on the cobbles as fans point out problem with photo

Coronation Street star Julia Goulding looked positively glowing as she posed for a selfie on the cobbles. The actress, who is best known to viewers for playing Shona Platt in the ITV soap, is currently expecting their second child.

Julia revealed the news by debuting her blossoming baby bump at the British Soap Awards back in June. Speaking exclusively to OK! on the red carpet, Julia revealed it has been 'hard' to keep her pregnancy a secret. "It's been quite hard to keep it secret and they've dug out my maternity clothes from three years ago, so it's all systems go again," she told the publication.

But the soap star is still busy at work as she took to Instagram with a snap of herself on the famous street. "Another glorious day here in Weatherfield," she commented as she grinned for the camera. She could be seen with her long brunette locks tied back into a ponytail an appearing to wear her apron for her character's work at Roys Rolls.

And while the iconic Rovers Return could be seen behind her, others couldn't help but notice a problem with the house next door, belonging to Steve and Tracy McDonald. They were distracted by the scaffolding that still appears to be attached to the home after Steve annoyed neighbour Ed Baily by taking him on and off the job to fix his roof.

And with the Salford-based soap being filmed up to two months in advance, Corrie fans were surprised to see the building work still not complete. @itsfinlayphoto said: "Can’t believe that scaffolding is still there." @emmaandstephxx asked: "Will that scaffolding ever come down? Haha."

@321_.emma_.123 quizzed: "When's the scaffolding coming down." @lee82wall wrote: "When’s Steve going to get he’s roof fixed that scaffolding been up months." @shaun.c1991 joked: "Steve’s roof still not repaired, Tracey won’t be happy lol @julia_goulding." @mikedoc90 laughed: "The Barlow’s roof still not fixed. Those pesky builders." @sean_chacksfield added: "Steve still not got that roof fixed!?"

Others were quick to compliment Julia. @megcraw5_xx said: "Gorgeous." @danellingham commented: "Looking lovely julia congratulations again on your lovely news. Looking lovely." @xx_ms_p_xx wrote: "Ahhh what a lovely selfie of you @julia_goulding." @susan.harbridge added: "Lovely pic- sooooo pretty."

Julia is married to her husband Ben Silver. The pair tied the knot at Manchester's Albert Hall after three years of dating - which included a secret ten-month engagement. Her co-stars attended the big day, with Jack P Shepherd (David), Tina O'Brien (Sarah Barlow) and former Corrie star Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt) there to watch the pair wed.

The actress and her rarely seen husband welcomed their first child in 2019 - and he has a rather unique name. They welcomed son Franklin Wolf Silver at the end of November after Julia went into labour on her due date. She then announced his safe arrival in December.

Julia shared an image of herself and Ben on Instagram on Sunday to announce the happy news. "Thank you to the lovely couple in the park who took this picture for us," she penned at the time. "Taken as I was in early labour on my due date. The next day Ben and I welcomed our baby son into the world. Franklin Wolf Silver born on 30/11/19."

Julia added: "He's changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I've known him my whole life." After discovering she was pregnant earlier this year, the soap star had been trying to conceal her bump on the Salford-based set. And it may have been handy as she did admit that her bump with Franklin was a "lot bigger". She said: "It's generally up to the director or costume department to sort of try and conceal it a bit. Obviously, I'm not as big, I'm used to being a lot bigger when I had Franklin."
