Gemma Atkinson has said 'the news is finally out' as she and Gorka Marquez have teamed up for their first-ever joint project. The couple, who are set to welcome their second child into the world any day now, were quickly praised and supported by their celebrity pals and fans over the announcement on social media.
Hits Radio host Gemma, 38, and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka, 32, have revealed they are set to star in their very own show, Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens, and shared the trailer with their millions of followers and fans on Instagram on Monday (June 26).
"We’re so excited to announce our brand new show “Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens” which will air on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay this summer!" the pair, who met when Gemma was a contestant on BBC One's Strictly back in 2017, revealed.

"For the last few months we’ve had the most wonderful crew document our 2nd pregnancy showing not only the absolute utter chaos of our day to day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones but also in the hope to raise some awareness of the not so glamorous stuff in pregnancy no one really tells you about!
"Fellow mums to be also dealing with piles and sweating profusely and fellow dads to be confused about perineal massage we’re looking at you!"
Bury-born Gemma then confirmed: "There’s no glam squad, no script and no filters. We agreed the only way to do this, was to keep it real, keep it relatable and just hope for the best. You’ll be joining us at home, on our pre and postnatal appointments, meeting pelvic floor specialists and having the in depth chats about VBACs and the everyday challenges we all face as parents, because if we’re being honest, we’re all just winging it aren’t we!"
They rounded off the post by saying: "We hope enjoy it as much as we have. Massive thank you to W channel team for bringing this opportunity to us."
To also announce the news Gemma, who is currently 38 weeks pregnant with a baby boy after welcoming first child, daughter Mia, back in 2019, shared a picture of the couple and their beloved pet dogs Ollie and Norman which was taken in the garden of their Greater Manchester home.
"The news is finally out!" Gemma typed. "Our own show 'Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens' coming to @wtvchannel and @uktvplay this summer!"
And responding to their Instagram post, many of the pair's celebrity pals responded with their excitement as did their fans and followers. Strictly pro dancer Dianne Buswell said: "Go on you two. Amazing I’ll be watching." Amy Dowden commented: "Exciting! Can’t wait." It Takes Two host Janette Manrara replied: "I will be tuning in!"
Reality star Ferne McCann, who has her own ITVBe show about becoming a first-time mum, said: "Omgggggg yes bloody love this!" Emmerdale actress Michelle Hardwick also added: "Love this."
