Lucy Fallon has shared the reality of being pregnant but also how her adorable pet dog has been by her side throughout her journey so far. The former Coronation Street actress revealed the news she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ryan Ledson earlier this week.
The couple, whose love blossomed during lockdown after they met on celebrity dating app Raya, announced the news to OK! Magazine, revealing that she they been keeping the news a secret for five months.
The wonderful news comes after Lucy, who played Bethany in the ITV soap from 2015 to 2020, suffered a tragic miscarriage earlier this year. Lucy and Ryan had gone for a private scan when Lucy was seven weeks for some early reassurance after the news came as a “massive shock and surprise”, but after being referred to hospital they were dealt the devastating blow that Lucy had miscarried.

"It was a traumatising, horrendous time,” she told OK!. "We went for a scan and they couldn’t see anything, so then we went to the hospital and they thought they could see something, so it was very up and down." She explained how she was experiencing classic pregnancy symptoms which were "getting worse". "There were no signs I had had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock," Lucy, who then underwent surgery, said.
But Lucy and Ryan are now looking to the future after their devastating experience with their bundle of joy due on February 2, 2023. "We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us," Lucy, who took a pregnancy test while on a trip to the Maldives, said. "We weren’t putting pressure on it and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen."
Earlier this week Lucy, 26, gave a little glimpse into her pregnancy so far, sharing a moving video to her Instagram page which shows her finding out she is pregnant, flashing a pregnancy test to the camera.
The sweet clips were intertwined with stunning behind-the-scenes videos from her first pregnancy photoshoot with OK Magazine. Lucy, 26, looked glowing as she posed in a series of gowns that accentuated her blossoming baby bump. She was joined by her Preston North End footballer beau and their Pomerianon pup, Sushi.
The fur baby could be seen wearing a cute heart around her neck reading, "We’ve been keeping a secret!" as the loved-up parents-to-be posed for the cameras as they revelled in their gorgeous news. There were also clips of Lucy telling her loved ones the happy news.
And Sushi also featured in Lucy's latest Instagram Story as she posted a clip of them together on the pregnancy reveal shoot for OK! Magazine. Her pet dog was sat on her knee when the Blackpool-born star suddenly picked her up and said: "She smells quite weird," before moving her off her stunning dress.
"Oh, sorry," Lucy said when she realised she was being filmed. "Love u girlie," she typed over the video before showing a series of images alongside Sushi showing how he hasn't appeared to have left her side. "Realistically we have just been parfing for a few months," she said. "Magical," Lucy added showing herself look rather peaky.
Lucy went public with her Preston North End footballer beau in June last year. It was reported they met through fellow soap star Helen Flanagan's fiance Scott Sinclair who also played for The Lilywhites. However, love blossomed for the couple during lockdown after they met on celebrity dating app Raya. It came after Lucy split from her boyfriend of four years Tom Leech.
