Pregnant Amy Childs says her doctors are 'concerned' ahead of birth of twins

Amy Childs has revealed her doctors are concerned ahead of the birth of her twins.

The Only Way Is Essex star Amy, 32, is expecting twins – a boy and a girl – with her beau Billy Delbosq. She is already a proud mum to daughter Polly, five, and Ritchie, four.

She is due to give birth soon and revealed in her latest OK! magazine her doctors are concerned her waters will break at any minute.

Amy, who recently hired a sleep nanny to help with her children, revealed: "While the twins aren’t coming imminently, doctors are concerned because my waters went with my previous pregnancies so it could happen at any time.

"By next week, we’ll hopefully know a little update if they’ve not arrived. I’ll be going for a check in every week until the twins are born."

Reality star Amy, who recently shared her anxiety as she entered the 'scariest' part of pregnancy, has booked a C-section in but revealed she hopes that she may still give birth vaginally.

She explained: "My C-section is all booked in. I haven’t really told anyone the date because I don’t want loads of people messaging me asking me how I’m feeling just before I have it done, you know?

"I just want to go in there and make sure the babies are all fine, then go from there. But, at the same time – like I’ve said from day one – if I can go natural then I will. My phrase of the year is ‘anything can happen’.

"This Wednesday they’ll be doing another little check and seeing if one of the twin’s heads is still down and they’ll then tell me what to do.

"It’s literally in the doctor’s and midwives’ hands now. I’ve very much got an open plan."

Despite her pregnancy, Amy has continued to work filming TOWIE and completing other commitments, too.

But, the reality star said she has been told by her pal Frankie Essex, who also is a mum to twins, has told her to slow down.

"I’m slowing down a little bit now," Amy said, "Even Frankie was ringing me up saying, ‘Why are you filming today? You should be chilling out’. She’s turned into my bloody mum!

"I feel so big with twins, and I’ve been asking Frankie if she felt knackered during her pregnancy too. It’s honestly so different to a single baby pregnancy.

"Some of the tips she’s been giving me have been, not worrying about the double buggy at first as both the babies will fit in a carry cot and telling me about the steriliser machine. When the twins are here, I’ll be ringing her up asking her opinion on things for sure."

It comes after Amy suffered a health scare recently and called the hospital after experiencing stomach pain.

Opening up about the scary time, she said: "A couple of nights ago I couldn’t sleep at all. I got up around 1am and my tummy was really cramping. I’ve had it before, it’s not like it’s my first baby, but I said to Bill that something felt different.

"I rang the hospital around 3:30am and said, ‘Look, I feel like I’ve really got a belly ache and bad belly pain’. I told them that the babies were moving and really active, which was good, because what I didn’t want to go to the hospital for them to check me, see that they were moving and tell me it's just Braxton Hicks."
