Can the Washington Commanders [1-3] snap a three-game winning streak Sunday against the Tennessee Titans [2-2]?
It’s been a frustrating start to Ron Rivera’s third season in charge of Washington. Instead of taking an expected leap in performance, the Commanders are going in the opposite direction. In losses to the Lions and Eagles in Weeks 2 and 3, Washington was outscored 46-0 in the first half combined of both games.
Quarterback Carson Wentz has struggled badly in division losses to Philadelphia and Dallas, but he’s far from the only one. The Commanders’ offensive line has dealt with injuries and inconsistency over the first quarter of the season.
The Titans are a different type of offense than what Washington has faced this season, led by running back Derrick Henry. Dallas is similar, but Henry is arguably the NFL’s top back when healthy.

There are reasons to like the Commanders in this one. The Titans match up well with Washington’s strengths and weaknesses right now. Of course, the Commanders need to figure out how to protect Wentz, and with ever-changing personnel, that can be difficult.
Henry will get his yards, and Titans wideout Robert Woods will have a strong game, but in the end, the Commanders get a jolt from the return of rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. and wide receiver Terry McLaurin will go over 100 yards for the second time in three weeks.
