The Miami Dolphins have reached the midseason point in the season with a 6-3 record through their first nine games.
As they head into the bye, there are a lot of questions about Miami’s potential going forward, as they’ve lost their only three matchups against opponents with winning records.
If the Dolphins can fix that problem going forward, they’ll be considered legitimate Super Bowl contenders, but until then, many will still have a hard time believing in them.
At the bye week, we’ll take a look at the eight remaining games on their schedule and predict the outcomes of each, as well as Miami’s final record.
WEEK 11: HOME vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas may have seen a little bump with Josh McDaniels’ firing, but they’re still not a very good team.
Prediction: Win (7-3)
WEEK 12: AWAY vs. New York Jets
As long as Zach Wilson remains the quarterback, it’s hard to imagine them beating this team.
Prediction: Win (8-3)
WEEK 13: HOME vs. Washington Commanders
Sam Howell has been sacked more than any other quarterback this season. Miami has an impressive pass rush, and that should be enough to keep Washington from keeping up with their offense.
Prediction: Win (9-3)
WEEK 14: HOME vs. Tennessee Titans
Rookie quarterback Will Levis could certainly make Tennessee better than Ryan Tannehill had them playing this year, but they’re likely still a middling team in the AFC.
Prediction: Win (10-3)
WEEK 15: HOME vs. New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers could be back by Week 15 if he’s to be believed. However, expecting him to play and play well so soon after such a serious injury is a lot.
Prediction: Win (11-3)
WEEK 16: HOME vs. Dallas Cowboys
This could be the Dolphins’ next battle against a winning team, and while Dallas is talented on both sides of the ball, the aqua and orange know that they need to step up and finally beat a playoff team.
Prediction: Win (12-3)
WEEK 17: AWAY vs. Baltimore Ravens
Quarterback Lamar Jackson is a strong candidate for the league’s MVP. If he keeps playing the way he has, the Dolphins might not be able to keep up with his dynamic play.
Prediction: Loss (12-4)
WEEK 18: HOME vs. Buffalo Bills
Miami split the regular-season series with the Bills last year, and Buffalo clearly isn’t playing like the same team that they were in their first meeting of this season.
Prediction: Win (13-4)
