Predicted Rangers team to take on St Mirren as Michael Beale set to ring the changes in Paisley

Rangers boss Michael Beale could spring a few changes for his side's final game of the season against St Mirren in Paisley.

It has been a disappointing season at Ibrox, with the club finishing the campaign trophy-less, but Beale will see today's match with the Buddies as another chance to assess his squad going into next season.

The short trip to the SMISA Stadium comes just three days after the Gers conceded a last minute equaliser to Hearts at Ibrox to be denied all three points in a 2-2 draw. Lawrence Shankland had fired the visitors into an early lead, until a Todd Cantwell effort in first half injury time and then a Fashion Sakala goal two minutes after the restart had Beale's men in front.

However, Jambos substitute Garang Kuol struck in the 94th minute to earn a share of the spoils for his team, although it wasn't enough to take the race for third place in the Premiership with Aberdeen to the final day.

In the build up to that game, Rangers confirmed that quintet Allan McGregor, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos would all be leaving the club at the exportation of their contracts next month.

In recognition of their service, McGregor and Morelos were handed starts against Hearts, giving both players the opportunity to run out at Ibrox from the start one last time. Kent and Helander will not get that chance as they remain out with injury, but Arfield did come on off the bench for his final Govan outing on Wednesday night.

However Beale has hinted that there will be no room for sentiment with his team selection against the Buddies.

Robby McCrorie could replace McGregor between the posts as he aims to stake a claim to be the Light Blues number one stopper next season.

John Souttar is likely to play alongside Leon King at centre back, with skipper James Tavernier and Ridvan Yilmaz at full back on either side.

Ryan Jack has extended his stay at Ibrox beyond the summer, and could line up in a midfield three alongside John Lundstram and Nicolas Raskin.

Beale has confirmed that Glen Kamara will not be in the squad, and that 16-year old Bailey Rice will take his place, having made his first team debut as a late sub against Livingston back in February.

The Englishman also revealed that Morelos will not be a part of the travelling party, but that his spot will be filled by Antonio Colak, with the Croatian striker set to return to the matchday squad for the first time since early April.

Rabbi Matondo is likely to earn a recall up top, and will be supported by Cantwell and Sakala.
