Predicted Leeds United line-up vs Wolves as Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips ask questions

Based on the Leeds United injury update Jesse Marsch provided on Thursday morning, an unchanged line-up looks a distinct possibility at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The American began his press conference with a proactive and comprehensive injury update which did not rule out anyone unexpected.

Joe Gelhardt was considered to have a decent chance of making the game, as were Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo. Given how well the side played on Sunday against Norwich City, Marsch may be minded to stick rather than twist with his line-up.

Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are the x-factor additions to the squad, but after more than three months without game time and a two-week break on the horizon, it seems unlikely Marsch will risk them. Furthermore, the head coach reiterated how disciplined he is when it comes to cautiously returning injured players to action, much like he did with Bamford across the past fortnight.

Jack Harrison is the other player who may be looking at the side and backing himself to edge his way back in, but Raphinha and Daniel James were good at the weekend. Only an unforeseen injury issue seems to be the way Harrison might force his way in.

Predicted line-up: Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Struijk, Dallas; Forshaw, Klich; Raphinha, Rodrigo, James; Bamford.
