Predicted Leeds United line-up vs Everton as Adam Forshaw pushes for Goodison Park return

Leeds United’s squad will remain as it was on Wednesday night when Marcelo Bielsa takes his side to Everton on Saturday.

Junior Firpo had an outside chance at the start of the week, but the left-back will not be risked before Manchester United visit Elland Road a week on Sunday.

Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips remain unavailable for selection too.

While the Whites only returned from Aston Villa with a point in midweek, the manner of the draw and fight shown in pulling the contest back will have buoyed Bielsa.

Adam Forshaw was the one question mark going into Villa Park and it feels like he remains the only player who could force his way into this XI.

Bielsa did admit the less than 72 hours between full-time on Wednesday and kick-off on Saturday was not sufficient for his players to properly recover, let alone prepare for the Toffees.

That admission may ordinarily point to some rotation for some managers, but Bielsa’s history with Leeds and his side’s sky-high fitness numbers would suggest he will stick with what he has.

Given Raphinha was the only player to play any games during the international break, Bielsa should feel his team are rested enough to take on this quick-fire double-header.

When Bielsa was asked about the Forshaw factor in Birmingham he mentioned Mateusz Klich, Rodrigo and Daniel James as the possible drop-outs, rather than Robin Koch in the defensive midfield role.

That attacking trio all played well at Villa and it seems unlikely Bielsa, who again praised his side’s attacking play, will tamper with his personnel on Merseyside.

Predicted line-up: Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Struijk, Dallas; Koch; Raphinha, Klich, Rodrigo, Harrison; James.
