Predict the Premier League relegation run-in as Leeds United battle Everton and Burnley for survival

Leeds United slipped into the relegation zone for the first time since October following their 2-1 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday. The Whites’ loss at the Emirates – coupled with Everton’s win at Leicester City, saw Leeds drop down into 18 th place ahead of the final three matches.

Jesse Marsch’s side begin their run in with another daunting clash against one of the Premier League’s top four sides, Chelsea. After back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Arsenal, Leeds now host the European champions at Elland Road knowing that some sort of result is imperative given their current situation in the table.

Burnley do not play again until Sunday, meaning a defeat for Leeds they remain behind them with a far inferior goal difference, having played a game less. But on paper, the Clarets also have a tricky run in as they head to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Spurs have been on fire under Antonio Conte in the calendar year of 2022, though their mindset heading into that game will be heavily dictated by the outcome of Thursday’s North London derby. A defeat against Arsenal would all but end their hopes of a top four finish, but a win would move them just one point behind ahead of the final two matches.

The Clarets also still face an away trip to Aston Villa – the side who ended their three-match winning run on Saturday – and host the much-improved Newcastle United on the final day. But with the battle still very much wide open, you can have your say on how the fight for safety will play out this season using our predictor tool below.
