Passengers coming into Sydney Airport are getting scared after spotting a sign on a nearby rooftop. The building, which is on the flight path of Australia's busiest airport, has left people fearing they are in the wrong city.
The words 'Welcome to Perth' have been painted on top of the building using industrial paint, which makes it highly visible to those flying above. The building owner, Brad Heasman, was thankful somebody noticed his prank as he had thought of the idea some months ago.

Heasman claimed he had been inspired by the 'Welcome to Cleveland' prank, which was painted on the roof of a building on the flight path of Milwaukee International Airport in 1978.
Many people have taken to Reddit to react to the prank - with one person commenting: "This was some high quality IRL trolling."
However, another stated: "Imagine their disappointment when they realise it’s Sydney."
While, others took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the witty prank, which must give quite the momentary scare when descending into what could be the wrong airport on the entirely opposite side of the country.
One Twitter user commented: "Whoever painted the ‘Welcome to Perth’ sign on their terrace which passengers see when landing at the Sydney airport is a genius of level 9000 and a great inspiration for my future plans."
It looks like then we might have another wrong airport prank on the cards by the sounds of this tweet.
In the UK we are no strangers to pranks like these with the now infamous 'Welcome to Luton' sign erected on the flight path to Gatwick Airport.
This sign confused passengers earlier this year as many grew concerned they had landed on the entirely wrong side of London.
So the next time you are on a plane and decide to look out the window while you descend into your destination, keep an eye out for any pranksters who might be trying to troll you and maybe triple-check with your in-flight crew if you are really unsure where you have landed.
