Ace filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar has left for his heavenly abode and the void that he has left behind can never be filled. He breathed his last at 3.30 am on March 24. He was 68.
The director was on dialysis and his potassium levels had dropped drastically. He passed away in a hospital, where he was rushed after his condition deteriorated at 2 30 am.
Messages of condolences have been pouring in from all sides on social media ever since the news of his sudden demise was announced. Celebrities like Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Dia Mirza, Sakshi Tanwar, Rhea Chakraborty Divyanka Tripathi and others have reached crematorium in Mumbai for the funeral.

Before venturing into films, Pradeep Sarkar directed several popular music videos and commercials. He made his directorial debut with Parineeta in 2005. The film featured Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
Sarkar has films like 'Laga Chunari Mein Daag', 'Mardaani', 'Helicopter Eela' and others to his credit.
