Practical Caravan names the best caravan parks in Wales for 2022

Caravan and motorhome experts Practical Caravan have named their best caravan sites in Wales for 2022. From south to north Wales, the best caravan sites have been selected and these 15 sites in Wales have also made it onto the Top 100 Sites in the UK list.

Red Kite Touring Park

Where: Llanidloes, Powys

A mile from the town of Llanidloes, Red Kite Touring Park is for adults only and comes with nature ponds, hiking routes, and dog walks. The Super Pitches are fully serviced with 16A electricity, a fresh water connection, piped TV, and free Wi-Fi. Prices begin at £29.

Bargoed Farm

Bargoed Farm has its own farm shop (The Moody Cow, Bargoed farm, near Aberaeron)

Where: Aberaeron, Ceredigion

Open all year round, Bargoed Farm is between the seaside towns of Aberaeron and New Quay and 20 of the pitches come with their own hot tub. On-site there is a disabled room, hot shower, a dog wash, farm shop, bistro, and butchery. Prices start at £16.

Bron Derw Touring Caravan Park

Where: Llanrwst, Conwy

Bron Derw Touring Caravan Park is in a great location to explore Snowdonia and the coast. Betws-y-Coed is five miles away and the caravan park is dog friendly. Prices start at £27.

Daisy Bank Touring Caravan Park

Where: Montgomery, Powys

Another adults-only park is the Daisy Bank Touring Caravan Park in Powys. There are heated showers and toilets, with wet rooms, available on-site as well as a shop, information hut, and pitch and putt course. Prices start at £25.

Home Farm Holiday Park

Where: Marian-glas, Ynys Mon

Found on the east coast of Anglesey is Home Farm Holiday Park, which is great for families. There is a pond, play area, tennis courts, and sports field on site. Prices start at £31.50.

Llanberis Touring Park

Where: Betws-y-Coed, Conwy

Just a five-minute walk from Llanberis village there are heated toilets and showers, disabled facilities, and a laundry room on site. The site is also dog friendly and prices start at £31.40.

Merlin Wern Mill

Where: New Quay, Ceredigion

In the heart of Ceredigion Bay is Merlin Wern Mill which is a five-minute walk from Cei Bach beach. The site has recently been renovated and has a shower block with underfloor heating, a bar, and a play zone. Prices start at £25.

Riverside Touring Park

Riverside Touring Park is near Betws-y-Coed (Daily Post Wales)

Where: Betws-y-Coed, Conwy

Another Conwy site is the Riverside Touring Park which has luxury showers, a family room, and a laundrette. The site is dog friendly and the site is part of the Morris Leisure group.

South Wales Touring Park

Where: Llangennech, Llanelli

Also adults-only the South Wales Touring Park in Llanelli is a great base for exploring the wonderful beaches of Gower. There are heated shower rooms, a dish-washing and laundry area, and a dog shower. Prices start at £14.

Trawsdir Caravan Park

Where: Barmouth, Gwynedd

The family-run Trawsdir Caravan Park is 2.5 miles away from Barmouth. There is a family room, shop, launderette, and children's play area on site and prices start at £28.

Tyddyn Du Touring Park

Where: Penmaenmawr, Conwy

Tyddyn Du Touring Park is an adults-only caravan site and has great views of Great Orme, Llandudno, and Anglesey. There is a dog walking area on site and prices start at £29.

Tyddyn Isaf Camping and Caravan Park

Dulas beach is near by (daily post wales)

Overlooking Lligwy Bay Tyddyn Isaf Camping and Caravan Park has access to a private beach nearby. There is a playground, shop, restaurant, and gym on-site. Prices start at £28.50.

Tyddyn Llwyn Caravan Park

Where: Morfa Bychan Road, Porthmadog

Within walking distance of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway Tyddyn Llwyn Caravan Park has a shop, play area, games room, and bar on-site making it great for families. Prices start at £25.

The Willows Abersoch

Where: Nr Abersoch, Pwllheli

The Willows is an adults-only caravan park in the Llyn Peninsula is a dog-friendly site with showers, a boat park, and a boat washing area. Prices start at £26.

Woodlands Caravan Park

Where: Devil's Bridge, Aberystwyth

In the village of Devil's Bridge is Woodlands Caravan Park with great views of the mountains. On-site there is a shop, separate family room, and laundry room. Prices start at £22.
