Power season 6 plot

Ramping up the tension before release, showrunner Courtney Kemp alludes to shocking developments in the first half of season six.
Speaking to TV guide, “Episode 8 is going to be a huge ending - big, big shift, Episode 10 is cray. Then [the last five episodes] are a way to explain what has happened”.
Last season, “Ghost” (Omari Hardwick) joined life-long best friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and fractious frenemy Kanan (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson), in a deadly feud with drug boss “Dre” (Rotimi Akinosho).
What happened in Power season 5?
*Spoiler Warning*
Rap mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has received praise for his prominent role as “Kanan”; another impressive turn for the rapper, who is credited as co-creator and co-producer of the show with Courtney A. Kemp,
Sadly, he will not be returning for the final season, as viewers of episode 8 witnessed: “Kanan” succumbed to bullet wounds from police.
As for the business partners who have entertained us since the show’s premiere episode, James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Tommy are now bitter enemies.
Shockingly, in the previous season finale, we watched Tommy attempt to take out “Ghost”.
Attempting to shoot, he failed with long-time character and “Ghost”s mistress Angela being fatally wounded instead. As we watched “Ghost” look up at the assailant and scream out, viewers have been in anticipation for the next season.
In this final act, we’ll wait to see how the former drug dealer plots his revenge and ends the six-season saga.
Power airs on Netflix in the UK and Starz in the US.
