Power-play goals in 2nd period propel Laval Rocket to 3-2 victory over Texas Stars

CEDAR PARK, Texas — The Laval Rocket scored three second-period goals and held on for a 3-2 win over the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League Saturday.

Xavier Ouellet and Jean-Sebastien Dea scored power-play goals for the Rocket (16-12-2-0). Peter Abbandonato scored at even strength. Jesse Ylonen chipped in with two assists.

Louis-Philip Guindon stopped 26 pucks.

Joel L’Esperance and Anthony Louis, on the power play, replied for the Stars (12-15-4-2), which got 19 saves from Anton Khudobin.

Texas beat Laval 6-1 on Friday.
