An information event aimed at supporting community groups across South Lanarkshire will take place next week.
South Lanarkshire Community Planning Partnership will host a community networking event on Wednesday, October 5, with all members of local community groups invited to attend.
The event is being held during Challenge Poverty Week to highlight the vital work of local organisations in tackling poverty and inequality throughout the region.
A range of information will be on offer at the event including the support that is available.
The event will be an opportunity for community organisations to build new relationships, especially during the current cost of living crisis and the uncertainty it will bring.
Stalls will be held by members of the South Lanarkshire Community Planning Partnership’s Financial Inclusion Network, each stall will have more information on the work they do and someone to talk to about the range of support they offer to communities.
The event will run between 4pm and 6.30pm at Ballerup Hall in East Kilbride.
The closing date for registering is 5pm on Thursday, September 29, and can be done here.
