Poundland is stocking a £12 cardigan that is almost an 'exact dupe' of £34 Next item

If you're looking to update your wardrobe with some great value pieces that won't break the bank - you might need a trip to Poundland.

Although the bargain retailer is widely known for stocking a wide variety of products that range from homeware to groceries, it does offer its own clothing range in select stores. Known as PEP & CO, the retailer's own-label clothing line features a whole range of items with prices that start at just £1 an item.

To make it even better, the retailer's clothing line looks to be stocking a cardigan that is almost identical to another high-street retailer, but without the price-tag. BristolLive reports that Bristol's Avonmeads branch was selling a stunning £12 cardigan that was near identical to one from Next.

The Gem Button Rib Detail Cardigan from Next will set you back £34, meaning Poundland shoppers who are lucky enough to find it can save themselves £22. Both cardigans are available in orange and feature the same midi-length.

A spokesperson said: "At PEP&CO it’s our mission to ensure families in every community spend less on their clothing. We offer fresh and exciting fashion ranges for the whole family at amazingly low prices.

"We firmly believe in keeping things simple and fuss-free to keep our costs low – this in turn keeps prices down for our customers, so they really can ‘spend a little, get a lot."

This is not the first time that the bargain high-street retailer's clothing range has offered shoppers affordable 'dupes'. It was previously hailed by shoppers for stocking a collection that was similar to Kim Kardashian's SKIMS line.

The SKIMS 'dupes' went viral on TikTok earlier this year for featuring similar pieces to the Kardashian collection, such as fluffy lounge trousers, tops and cardigans - but more than £200 cheaper.

Poundland also kept fragrance fans happy, after a £4 bottle of perfume was hailed by shoppers for being a 'dupe' of designer bottle worth up £89. The Mystery Pour Femme Insignia perfume was a hit with shoppers who claimed it was identical to the iconic Hypnotic Poison from Dior.
