Poundland is selling school uniform - and prices start from just £1

Poundland is the latest retailer to launch a new school uniform range – and as you probably guessed, prices start at just £1.

In a move to support families amid the rising costs of living, the discount shop is selling all the back-to-school basics.

Available items include polo shirts, sweatshirts, skirts and trousers - with the most expensive products costing £5.

The range is designed with Pep & Co, running from nursery-aged kids all the way up to school leavers.

Sizes go from three to four years to the end of school, at around 16 years in most of the items.

Polo shirts are priced at between £1 to £2, while sweatshirts range in price from £2 to £4, with sizes beginning at three to four years up to size 12/13.

School skirts and trousers begin at £3, going up £5 - they come in sizes three to four years, up to 15/16 years.

Parents raved about the bargains online.

One mum said: "I always buy my son's school uniform from there, it washes brilliantly and lasts ages. Can't complain for the money."

The store is also releasing a new stationery range, with each item costing just £1.

This is one in a series of moves that the high street discount shop is doing to help families during the cost of living crisis.

Poundland has announced a new scheme to reduce its prices even further.

The high street giant will be offering items for as little as 1p every Wednesday on its websites, Poundshop.com.

A current item that is available online for just 1p is Elbow Grease Degreaser Original 500ml, which is around £2 at other stores.

In another move to assist families during the cost of living crisis, Poundland has also launched its Value Heroes campaign.

This vows to reduce key household items to £1 in a return to Poundland’s glory days.

Items such as Fairy Washing Up liquid, Flash Cleaner and Men’s Nivea Shower Gel are all available for £1.

Poundland has also today announced that it will cut the price of 1,000 items, across DIY, gardening, kitchenware, homeware and stationery.

The brand is also on track to roll-out its range of chilled and frozen food to 350 of its stores.

It is also set to open 25 new or relocated stores across the UK in upcoming months.
