After-Christmas Pottery Barn deals
One way to make the holiday sales work for you is to shop the Pottery Barn Post-Holiday Mega Sales. Over the days immediately following a major holiday, such as Easter, Christmas, or Halloween, Pottery Barn offers deep discounts on seasonal items. I like to use the Post-Holiday Mega Sales to stock up on holiday decor for this time next year.
Pottery Barn holiday sales
Pottery Barn runs regular sales throughout the year, which you can stop in-store and online. Just after New Year's, there's the White Sale on bed and bath essentials. This year, President's Day falls on Monday, February 17, and you'll find deep discounts on bigger-ticket items, such as furniture and rugs. In quick succession, you have sales with site-wide discounts on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26), Independence Day (Friday, July 4), and Labor Day (Monday, September 1).
Pottery Barn Friends and Family Sale
Outside of the seasonal sales, we have the Pottery Barn Friends and Family Sale, which pop up a few times a year at random intervals. These are the end-of-season warehouse sales, where Pottery Barn cuts prices to shift old stock and make room for new products.

Most months, Pottery Barn holds a sale on a particular category. One month, it might be lighting, the next tableware, and so on: you can expect to save around 20% in these flash sales.

Yes: that explains the slightly steeper price tag. I'd class Pottery Barn as attainable luxury: more expensive than your local home retailer (think Wayfair or Walmart) but not quite as expensive as those high-concept furniture stores, such as Arhaus or Restoration Hardware.
How much cheaper is the Pottery Barn outlet?
I've seen Pottery Barn outlet stores offer as much as 40% off furniture and 60% off decor. Remember, though, you're looking at return items and floor models, which might have slight imperfections.
