Last season the Pittsburgh Steelers were reported to have interest in trading for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel. The team ultimately didn’t finalize a deal but they might get another chance.
According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, the 49ers have granted Samuel and his agent permission to seek a trade that could send Samuel to a new team for the final year of his current contract.
The 49ers have granted Deebo Samuel and his agent Tory Dandy permission to find a trade partner for the wide receiver, Samuel told ESPN. This comes after Samuel asked San Francisco to trade him during the players’ exit meetings after the season.

When healthy, Samuel has been a dynamic player and would be a huge upgrade at wide receiver if the two sides can work out a fair trade.
