A Honduran man at the U.S.-Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas, caught attention for his choice of attire during his journey into the United States: a t-shirt from President Biden's 2020 campaign. The man, part of a group that included women and children, seemed unaware of the significance of the shirt when asked about it.
Upon being informed that the shirt referenced President Biden and Vice President Harris, the man humorously remarked that he wore it to increase his chances of being allowed into the country, eliciting laughter from those around him.
The scene unfolded against the backdrop of the Rio Grande, with the migrants separated from onlookers by barbed wire. This incident comes amidst a potential surge in illegal crossings at the southern border, with U.S. Customs and Border Protection reporting over 21,000 encounters in just three days.

Notably, the Tucson sector in Arizona recorded the highest number of encounters, followed by the San Diego sector in California. Interestingly, Texas sectors near Brownsville and Eagle Pass saw fewer encounters, indicating a shift in illegal crossing patterns.
In response to the escalating situation, the Texas National Guard recently took control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, blocking Border Patrol access as part of Governor Greg Abbott's efforts to curb illegal immigration into the state.
