A gun was used to threaten staff serving customers during an attempted armed robbery at a Post Office. Police were called to the Post Office on Lostock Road, Trafford, at around 1pm on January 14.
The gunman fled after a member of staff pressed the panic alarm and a smoke cloak was activated. Nobody was harmed in the attempted robbery and no arrests have been made, GMP have said.
Police launched an investigation and have now released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. He is pictured wearing a 'distinctive' red and black Berghaus jacket.

We believe there is no direct threat to the local community but we are continuing to monitor the surrounding areas closely and will continue to ensure patrols are in place.”
