Authorities are currently looking into a potential link between the recent attack in New Orleans and a Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside a Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. Both incidents occurred within hours of the new year.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Kevin McMahill, the Sheriff of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, stated that they are actively investigating any possible connections between the two events, as well as other attacks happening globally.
The sheriff mentioned that law enforcement is exploring whether the explosion at the hotel could be linked to ISIS, although there is currently no evidence to support this theory in Las Vegas.
The FBI has indicated that the Cybertruck explosion appears to be an isolated incident, reassuring the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety.
It was revealed that the vehicles involved in both incidents were rented through Turo, a platform that facilitates car rentals between owners and renters.
