Portugal vs Turkey: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news and h2h results

Portugal battle Turkey tonight in their key World Cup play-off semi-final tie.

The winners in this pathway will play either Italy or North Macedonia for a place at the Qatar winter tournament, meaning one of the two most recent European champions are certain to miss out.

Portugal are, of course, spearheaded by talismanic captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be desperate to lead his country at what would surely be the last World Cup of his career.

Turkey were highly-fancied dark horses at Euro 2020 last summer but bombed out with a dismal group stage showing and will be keen to make amends.

Portugal vs Turkey prediction

Turkey were embarrassed at Euro 2020 having gone in with a strong reputation and were hammered 6-1 by the Netherlands in September.

They are probably a better side than those results suggest but Portugal should prove too strong and, in all likelihood, set up a crunch clash with Italy.

Portugal to win 3-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Portugal wins: 6

Draws: 0

Turkey wins: 2
