The Foreign Office has updated its guidance for anyone wanting to travel to Portugal.
Scores of UK tourists visit Portugal for their holidays each year and many will be travelling to the European country during the May half-term holidays next week. Now the Government has alerted people to further Covid rule changes there.
Until recently, visitors and residents alike were still required to wear face masks in some settings - both in mainland Portugal and the Azores. However, this requirement has now been dropped, reports the Liverpool Echo.

In Madeira and Porto Santo, however, the regional health authority recommends the use of a face covering in medical facilities, retirement and nursing homes if you have been diagnosed with a respiratory illness.
The Foreign Office has also updated people regarding industrial action due to take place in Portugal. Portuguese immigration officers are due to strike between now and June 26, which "may cause travel disruption".
Gov.uk has issued the following advice: "If you are travelling during this period, allow additional time to clear border control when entering and exiting Portugal. You should consult your airline or tour operator for updates prior to travel."
