Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley thinks whoever wrote 'Sack Hinkley' on a road sign near Alberton crossed a line, and he says he won't let the pressure get to him through his side's final four AFL games.
The Power are two games and percentage outside the eight and look long-odds to bridge that gap, likely to miss the finals for the first time since 2019 after back-to-back preliminary finals appearances.
After the message was plastered on a road sign on Monday, Hinkley said "it worries me not one bit" but added he didn't empathise with perceived passion shown by the sign vandal.
"I think it's a really poor thing to do, I think it's a really weak thing to do," he told reporters.
"It doesn't worry me, I move on with my day and I move on with my week and I prepare my team the best I possibly can.
"Every football club has great passion in it but there's a line."
It comes before the Power's daunting Saturday trip to face Collingwood, when they'll need to end the Magpies' nine-game winning run to keep their season alive.
From the side that fell to Geelong last round they'll lose defender Dan Houston (concussion), while Riley Bonner (health and safety protocols) and Orazio Fantasia (illness) won't come in.
Lachie Jones (hamstring) is touch-and-go.
Hinkley said his side would ignore any suggestion their season was over and once again bring the heat.
"The mood of the group is that we're still in the fight ... we're going to keep chasing it and I don't think anyone expects me to stand here today and say that we're not chasing as hard as we've ever chased," he said.
"What I'm really proud about the group is they bring the same attitude to work every week, right from the start of the year through to today they're here with enthusiasm."
