Port eager to set the record straight with Police Tero

Port will visit Police Tero on Sunday.

Port chairwoman Nualphan Lamsam is hoping that her team's forgettable record in away matches at Police Tero will inspire the Klong Toey-based giants to a victory when the two sides meet for Thai League 1 battle on Sunday.

Police will also be desperate for a good result at their home ground after two winless outings in the new season.

Port regained form in their last game when they hammered PT Prachuap 5-2 to improve their tally to four points from two games.

"An away game against Tero is never easy," said Nualphan on Friday. "Our big victory over Prachuap has boosted the team's confidence, but I have told the players that they need to be consistent.

"Tero will also want to win this game so we expect a difficult match.

"I am aware of the statistics but I am hoping that our lacklustre record against Tero will motivate the players to make an extra effort and deliver a win."

Also on Saturday, Bangkok United will be putting their perfect record on the line at home when Nakhon Ratchasima visit them. Bangkok United coach Aurelio Vidmar said: "We have built a good momentum and we would like to continue that. Nakhon Ratchasima have several top-class players so we can expect a close game."
