A billionaire has cited his elderly wife's "dementia-like illness" as the reason behind filing divorce papers. Wolfgang Porsche, a Porsche executive, filed for divorce from Claudia Porsche, claiming that her personality had changed as a result of the disease.
Wolfgang and Claudia started dating in 2007 and they got married in 2019. However, according to sources close to the family, the 74-year-old woman's condition poses barriers for her and her 79-year-old husband to live together, the Mirror reports.
The Porsche family's holdings are said to be worth around 20 billion Euros (£18 billion). Claudia, a grandma who has lived close to her daughter for almost two years, has four carers who look after her.

According to the family, she has not been able to move on her own for months and her mental awareness has rapidly deteriorated. According to German media, Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen, 59, Wolfgang's acquaintance of 25 years, has been closer to him lately.
Wolfgang is a German-Austrian shareholder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, as well as of Porsche AG. The Stuttgart-born executive is the youngest son of former Porsche AG designer and Chief Executive Officer Ferdinand 'Ferry' Porsche and Dorothea Reitz.
His oldest brother is Ferdinand 'Butzi' Porsche, who designed the first Porsche 911. He has four children, two to director and screenplay writer Susanne Bresser, whom he married in 1988 and divorced in 2008.
He lives in Zell am See, in Austria.
