A popular West Bridgford bar and antiques store is closing its doors for the final time. The Blue Camel Cafe, based in Bridgford Road, confirmed that it will cease service on Saturday, December 17, in an emotional Facebook message.
The establishment wrote that the decision was a "very difficult and sad" one and told fans of the bar to look out for their offers before they shut for the final time. The store is sadly closing after less than a year after they began trading, having opened in February 2022.
The business is a sister store to Hopkinson Vintage, Antiques and Art Centre in Nottingham city centre. A Facebook post issued by staff read: "Thank you and goodbye. We have made the very difficult and sad decision to close our Blue Camel site.

"Our last day will be Saturday the 17th of December, so make the most of us until then and lookout for our offers! A massive thank you to everyone that has been a part of The Blue Camel and made it what it is, our regulars and everyone who has spent time here.
"Do visit our other two sites @hopkinson21 and @cobdenplace to shop local and independent always. X."
Fans of the bar took to the comments section to express their sadness. One person wrote: "So sad to hear this.
"Such a quirky place and my daughter has loved working here on a Saturday morning she will miss it so much x." Another followers said: "Such a shame! You were brilliant!"
