A POPULAR Ayr pet shop is set to close its doors for the last time.
Fishkeeper Ayr on Holmston Road made the shock announcement via social media.
The store, which is located inside Dobbies Garden Centre, is set to shut permanently from January 22, with a closing down sale going ahead until then.
A Fishkeeper Ayr statement said: "We are very sorry to announce that Fishkeeper Ayr will be closing permanently on Sunday, January 22.
"Until then we are holding a closing down sale with 20% off everything in store.
"Thank you to all of our loyal customers for their support over the years.
"We hope to be able to see as many of you again in future at our other stores."
