A popular bar and restaurant that was forced to close its doors in Shawlands during the pandemic is hoping to welcome customers back to its new venue in the city centre.
Gulp on Pollokshaws Road gave an emotional goodbye to customers in September 2020, stating that though they "loved every minute of being part of Shawlands " they were "devastated" that they would have to shut permanently.
Now, the team behind the much-loved bar has found a new spot to open their latest venture, and though it's not the south side this time, they are still hoping that some of the customers (and their dogs) who previously enjoyed their bar might make it along to check out the new one in the city centre.

Posting on their official Instagram page, they shared an image of the sign for the new bar on Parnie Street just off the Trongate, which is called Daddy Marmalades.
The Gulp team added: "Hello Southsiders, we just wanted to update you on our new place. We miss the southside so much, but unfortunately couldn’t make it back.
"It’s called Daddy Marmalades, based in Parnie St and we hope you can stop by another bar we’ve tried to make feel like a home away from home. We’ll be open Wed-Sun every week. Thanks for everything."
