Popular restaurant set to open new Ayrshire venue in time for summer

A popular Ayrshire eaterie are branching out and opening a new venue.

Tempura Ayr are expanding into East Ayrshire and will open a takeaway store in Kilmarnock.

The new venture will opening on the town's John Finnie Street, replacing the former Killer Griller and The Balti, and it was create 10 new jobs in the town.

It will be their second takeaway venue, with their Beresford Terrace store proving popular.

The owners posted on Facebook: "We are delighted to announce that we have now taken over the property formerly known as Killer Griller on John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock.

"We plan to turn this property into our second Tempura2Go, due to the layout this will be a takeaway only.

"We will be doing a full refurbishment in the building which will be starting imminently.

"This new venue will create 10 new jobs so please keep your eyes out for our recruitment posts very soon.

"We hope to be open this summer."
