Michigan State was one of the few Big Ten teams to win and cover the spread this weekend so should they rank amongst their peers? Brandon Walker of Barstool Sports’ popular podcast Unnecessary Roughness thinks its in the upper half of the league.
Walker has released power rankings for numerous power conferences as the first full week of the 2023 college football season wrapped up on Monday. That includes the Big Ten where Walker has the Spartans at No. 7 in the league — one spot behind Ohio State and one spot ahead of Rutgers.
Buy Spartans TicketsFor reference, I personally had Michigan State at No. 6 in our first edition of weekly power rankings which can be found by clicking here. So I’m not too off from Walker on where I see the Spartans fitting in with the rest of the league.
