A popular Nottingham buffet restaurant located in the city centre has shut its doors for good. COSMO Authentic World Kitchen, in Milton Street, has closed for the last time after seven years.
The venue has thanked its customers, after bringing to an end seven years of serving "more than 100 dishes from around the globe to thousands of diners". The restaurant is one of 21 outlets in the COSMO group, which has recently opened its second branch in Glasgow and has a new presence in Liverpool.
However, a spokesman said its Nottingham restaurant, which only reopened following the pandemic a year ago, has been forced to close after the group terminated the operation agreement with the outlet’s operator. In common with other restaurants across the COSMO group, Nottingham’s branch was run under an agreement with a separate company, Iris Trading Limited.
The COSMO spokesperson added that anyone who has booked a table at the restaurant will be contacted by the COSMO marketing department. They said: “We were delighted with the way Nottingham embraced our world dining concept and have had many happy years serving the people of this city.
“We are hugely grateful to the very many loyal customers who made COSMO Nottingham such a success and apologise for any inconvenience for anyone who was looking forward to a forthcoming visit.”
COSMO Restaurants is a UK franchise of family-friendly restaurants serving hundreds of dishes from around a dozen different countries, including China, Japan, India and Brazil.
